Do you know that you can change the number of a blog post per page on a WordPress site? As a beginnner, you might not be familiar with this setting.
This could not be a great deal of everyone whether how many posts they need to show on the blog posts per page.
However, it is a great deal for Bloggers and Business entrepreneurs who constantly post new blogs and news about their business so that their readers can get an instant update on what the latest trend or news going within your site or business.
Do you want to change the number of blog posts per page on your WordPress site?
By default, the number of posts shown on that page is 10 and that’s the ideal number for every blogger where they can showcase the number of posts on that blog page.
In this post, I will show you how you can increase the post or even decrease as per your needs on your WordPress site.
This can easily be done by just the snap of a finger and it does not require any coding skills or high tech mind to change these settings.
You can change the number of a blog post per page on WordPress site easily by accessing to WordPress site admin dashboard.
First of all, you need to access your WordPress Admin Dashboard. Then you can navigate to the Settings >> Reading section.
Secondly, you will see the Blog post-show at most and you can change the number as per your needs.
Once you make the changes don’t forget to click on the Save Changes button and that’s it you are done. Now you will see your blog posts category and archive page show the number of posts which you have selected on the backend.
Do these settings work on all the custom post types and category pages?
I would say that it should work on all the custom post types and category pages. So, my answer should be YES. This should work on all the custom post types and category pages as per WordPress coding standards.
Some custom themes providers may overwrite the settings to show blog post show 5 or 6 but once you change the settings from the backend then it should work just fine. If you have installed third-party plugins or using a theme with custom post type then the changes will also affect that custom post type.
So, the changes that you make on the backend settings will be affected globally on all the custom post types which will show that the number of post or listings on that page.
What’s the ideal number should I choose for my Blog Page?
Hmmm…. Usually, Bloggers like me show 10 number of blog posts per page. This not only makes my blog page long in size but also for readers to see how many posts I have published on my WordPress site. Also, it is great from the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) perspective.
You can choose as many numbers you like but the number of blog posts per page would ideally be an issue during the page load as it would take some grumpy time to load that page.
So I would recommend you can show 10 number of blogs per page on your Blogs page.
